Tunisian DOI Consortium
The CNUDST is thrilled to announce the launch of a project called “Tunisian DOI Consortium”, in partnership with DataCite.
The project aims to create and support a sustainable national community that can use DataCite’s open science infrastructure to enhance the visibility and accessibility of their research outputs and resources by registering DOIs (digital object identifiers).
The project also has the following goals for the year 2024:
- encourage Tunisian institutions to adopt DOIs to identify and ensure permanent access to their research outputs;
- raise awareness among the Tunisian community, including librarians, repository managers, researchers, academics, publishers and decision-makers, of the benefits and achievements of open science infrastructure, such as persistent identifiers
- link-local solutions to the PID (persistent identifier) DataCite infrastructure
We strongly invite decision-makers at universities and research structures to join the project and express the needs of their structures in terms of the visibility of their scientific productions using persistent PID identifiers, especially DOIs.
We will hold an information and launch webinar for the project on March 8, 2024.
